This blog will give you step by step to properly get rid of the feces once the bed bugs and eggs are dead.
Many cleaning services do not know how to clean bed bug feces or are unwilling to clean it. Most will generally not clean up the carcasses when the bugs are dead, for fear of contaminating their equipment. Bed bug feces is very similar to cockroach feces, in that it is extremely small and difficult to clean. Bed bug feces tends to occur in large clumps; however, it isn’t uncommon to see small specks outside of the major accumulation. Keep in mind that the feces is dry, so in order to effectively remove it, you will need to rehydrate it. You can use an ordinary spray bottle with a general cleaner, but you will need to soak the feces until it becomes easier to remove. Using a foamer works extremely well. Do not use Mr Clean Magic Erasers if the feces is on drywall, covered in flat paint. Mr Clean Magic Erasers act as sanding blocks and may remove the paint from a surface, thereby damaging the paint. Paper towels are generally not very effective, as when they are being agitated against the surface, they tend to rip very easily when wet.
Light scrubbing pads generally work well. Blue pads aren’t as tough as green scrub pads and are less likely to damage the wall or surface of the bed bug feces. Thoroughly wet the scrub pad and wring out the excess water. Apply a cleaner to the feces and allow it to stay wet for at least 2 minutes. The cleaner may drip down the wall. If it does, simply dry the excess. Next, apply the blue scrub pad to the wet feces. Lightly scrub the surface with the pad back and forth until you see the specs scatter. Use a dry paper towel to check your results. Continue this process until the feces is completely removed, remembering to scrub the surface lightly. This is how to remove bed bug feces.
